He is a song, an inspiration. He is a grassroots movement.
Yet for all that ‘Elias’ represents, Elias the man is simply a gardener from Zimbabwe. He works long hours in the hot Chiredzi sun taking care of flowers and shrubs. His salary barely provides for survival. But this is his passion. His smile and laughter spring to life when his hands are covered in soil.
He has a beautiful wife and three wonderful sons. All those who cross his path hear a joyful, “Hello, how are you?” His heart is set on love.
Though not an intellectual, Elias possesses wisdom few can rival. No matter what race, religion, or political standing, Elias always makes time to share stories and laughter with anyone willing to slow down with him.
Elias is the rightful man to inspire a movement because his joy transcends the entrapment of poverty, oppression, and prejudice. And in all of this, Elias remains a simple man from Zimbabwe.
He is a husband, a father. He is our dear friend.
